Basically you're allowed 6 stops (including 2 in Australia) and you must travel in an around the world direction sticking roughly to the routings of the airlines involved.

Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai or Bali, Johannesburg, Fiji, Hawaii, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington.
